Techniques, programmes and equipment
In the academy we work a
lot on the technical and tactical movements.
We teach how to properly dive, catch and position
yourself in the goal.
On the one or two day goalkeeping courses we do
different things to keep it fun whilst teaching young
keepers what they need to know. Learning techniques of
diving and movement as well as different kinds of
footwork including working with rope ladders.
We play different games and use different kinds of
equipment. Photos show some of our equipment including
re-bounders, shooting machines and flat goals - they
allow us to work goalkeepers at both sides
simultaneously.

We do competitions every
day on the courses too. They include:
Penalty shoot-out: Here every keeper takes one
penalty on other keepers in their group to be the
penalty killer.

Goalkeeper tennis:
In this game you need to kick the ball over the net to
score and the other keeper need to catch the ball before
it hit the floor.
Goalkeeping war: Keepers are allowed to kick off
the floor, volley, half-volley or throw to beat opposite
keeper.
1v1: Were every keeper try to beat each keeper
once to see who is the best in 1v1 situations.
Competitions: We get 2 keepers of each age group
to the finals (pictured) the winners can win some
prices.
Everyone gets a certificate for attending on the
goalkeeper day courses. Photo below shows
presentations of certificates at the end of the course.
